Flu like virus causing conjunctivits

A couple of weeks ago my son got  tonsillitis; according to the doctor. Which had caused a rash and one of his eyes to turn red, he was quite ill and was given an antibiotic to clear it up, which worked. The reason I say this is: this once in a lifetime event had, just happened to appear where it had the best possible chance of being seen by more camera's than most other places in the world; what are the chances of the that? So to balance out this apparent strangeness, there must be several more objects that are heading towards the Earth, making this event just part of several events which are yet to occur.
